Hello,

I downloaded that game exactly two years ago. At that time the installer had a size of aprox. 1.6 GiB (version number 1.0.0.4). Today I saw, that there is a newer version out with the filename setup_journey_to_the_center_of_the_earth_2.0.0.6.exe with a size of only 542 MiB.

Is it really the same game? I can find no other Journey to the Center of the Earth in my gog shelf, but why is there so much change in size?
Content was cut at some point, but not sure if the larger files you saw had that original content or was just not optimized.

It seems the original version of this game had a puzzle with a door near the beginning of the game in the mines. Now the door just opens when you click on it.

If anyone still has the old larger setup files, it would be interesting to know if that puzzle looks to be the original one or the "simplified". If there is an original non-cut version then it would be nice if it was made available as an optional download like Gog has done with other games (which is why I bought this and other games like this from here).

I can shed a little light. The original installer mentioned contained all of the languages in one. More recent GOG installers have separated the languages out.

I don't know whether the older installer ever had the now missing puzzles or not though.
