I am the Drassen mine for JA2: Wildfire and 2 hostile citizens I eventually come across want to kill me . Does this have something to do with the barrels that explode and you can destroy? the game tells me you can hear screams afterwards.

If you kill a civilian, even by accident, they can turn on you.
