Hey folks,

Every time I try to run it this game, I get one splash screen, then a second splash screen quickly pops up, and then it's frozen for eternity. Can't even quit the application with task manager, have to restart my computer. If I try to run in compatibility mode, I always get the same error message ("Cannot run file"). Anyone else having this problem or know of a possible solution?

I am having the exact same problem. I'm running windows 10. I tried changing the .ini config file so as to start in windowed mode with fixed resolution. This lets me exit the application after it crashes without restarting the computer but the game still won't load past the splash screen. I tried removing a .dll file that a different forum post had said to do and that didn't work (I put it back after).
I've also tried running in compatibility mode for every available OS from Win 95 through Win 7 and all of them give an "Cannot run file" error (I also tried running as admin with no effect). The only time I don't get that error is with the compatibility turned off and then it just stops responding on the splash screen. I haven't seen anyone give a solution to this particular set of problems yet so I'd be curious if anyone knows a solution.
