hi i am getting a cannot write to memory error on the intro when he helps boy at the beach it goes to desktop with that error. i have a fresh winxp install every other game i have from you works great. please help if you can. thank you

If you installed to default path - Program Files, that might be the reason.
Try installing to your documents folder instead. (Be sure to save your Saves.)

i'm experiencing the exact same problem. unfortunately, reinstalling the game elsewhere doesn't seem to be solving any problems.

thanks bottlecap, but i don't need the intro... i need customer service from GOG. i've e-mailed them a week ago, and have yet to receive a reply from them. i'm sorry guys, but if the game isn't working, and you fail to contact me... what does is say about your business?

If you skip the introduction and go directly to New Game you should be able to play. It worked for me. If necessary, you might try running the two .exe files in the game folder in 95 compatibility mode.

Is this problem still not fixed at all?
Because of the TW promotion, I wanted to get the game. After reading this thread, I'm hesitating to buy it.

Well, I didn't have any problems whatsoever :)

In WinXP 64 SP2, when I try to load the game, I get the following message:
Windows - No Disk
Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 7c7df5f8 cead9cf8 7c7df5f8 7c7df5f8
If I click continue four times, then the game works fine.
The intro works flawlessly. That error is kind of annoying though.
