This is not the way to treat paying customers who pay you for service.
I'm also very unhappy with this situation - where is the patch?!
shall we stop using gog.com with such messy attitude?
587 games with approx $1000 worth value here.

I'm already stop buying games here and go back to play the "free edition".
Bravo GOG's, keep doing this and you will find yourself down sooner.
.
I have a brand new patch ready to download for this game. Is this why you're all whining ?

yep,
and we're all whining because this patch has officially been released for this game on steam on August 6!
Story of GOG's life.

The patch was released on steam on Aug 6. It was hot fixed on Aug 13. The patch was sent to GOG a week ago and we only got the patch today. Meanwhile neither the staff of GOG or the developer has answered any of our questions on this forum.

And this is not the first time problems like this happens. Last time the developer didn't even remember to check if GOG has the right patch after 12 days the patch was released on steam. People had to remind them on the Steam forum for them to follow up with the GOG team.

We pay the same amount of money but receive inferior service. This is not whining. This is legit complaint.

So stfu and don't try to be a smart ass when you know nothing about the situation.

How is this GOG's fault ?^^

It is notoriously known that GOG is hardly slower to release patches and DLC, and I use to complain too, but I think the aggressivity on this thread is a little bit disproportionate.

As you say, the game is the same price on Steam. If you are aware of the situation and don't accept it, go buy your game there and stop spitting your hate here. If you made the choice to buy the game on GOG, that is not Steam, then you agree on some disadvantage. Or you gfy.

Patches are part of the game. It is included in the price so it is their(both GOG and the developer) job to make sure the patching is done on time, especially when the patching can only be done thru the GOG galaxy client. They didn't communicate with each other and with the customers. How is that not their fault?

Steam got the patch 15 days before GOG. That is not hardly slower.

How the fk am I supposed to know beforehand that they won't do their job? None of the reviews mentioned they have this problem and I haven't had this problem before since most of the games I bought here are old games. I only agree to buy the game here. When did they ask me to agree on getting a incomplete product/inferior service?

So you are telling me that I should just accept that they can delay the patches however long they want?

Even yourself said in the other thread "Like for any indie game, I guess the devs are more into Steam releases than GOG. Because Steam is bigger. And it needs to change."

Maybe you should remember your own "whining" too.

Well, now you know.^^

About the other thread, I totally agree that waiting for patches release is a pain for many reason, but is there a meaning in hte creation of a topic just for yelling on GOG's staff ?

With all due respect, you'd better move your ass and ask the devs to move theirs too.

So? I have already paid the money for THIS GAME. This is like, someone goes to a cinema to watch a movie, and then the cinema only plays half of the movie and tells you, you have to wait for 2 weeks and come back to watch the other half of the movie. If you don't like this, then dont come back. Like WTF is this logic? Why should I accept it? I am pretty sure GOG doesn't want us just to leave.

You called what AngtyHatter and Avos said are yelling at GOG's staff????
If what they said are whining then your comment in another thread is also whining and you are here whining about our whining.
What's the point of making a post just saying "Story of GOG's life"?
How does it contribute to the situation in any positive way?

I have already posted on steam forum and their official forum, unlike someone who just sits there doing nothing and thinks that the problem will somehow magically be fixed by itself. Once again, this is not just the fault of the developer, it is also GOG's job to make sure the patches are up-to-date and to communicate with the customers about the patching schedule,

saintshing: How does it contribute to the situation in any positive way?
Exactly, and this conversation isn't going any further. Since two days we are arguing, not noticing we are on the same board. I guess we just don't have the same feeling because I disagree with almost everything you wrote.

You are basically saying that "hey, the authority has ignored your previous opinions, therefore you should just stfu forever and let them do whatever they want. If you don't like it, go fuck yourself".

If you think expressing your feedback to the developer is useless, then you are completely wrong. The reason that you are able to enjoy the new patches here right now is because people have requested it on steam and their official forum. In fact, a lot of the new content and balance changes are made based on community feedback.

There are countless examples of big corporations fixing their inappropriate practices/policies after receiving backlash from customers. If you enjoy receiving inferior products, that is entirely up to you.

Even if at the end these messages are completely ignored by GOG. at least I would know GOG is a company that doesn't care about customer feedback(which I dont think is true, I would rather believe that they just handle this particular incident poorly) and I can move on to use other platforms. And other people may see these messages and reconsider their decision before buying this product. It is not meaningless at all.

That is exactly what I mean too, and I use to express my feeling directly to the devs too. When I wrote on the Hand of Fate topic, I went immediatly on the Twitter account of DeviantDevelopment, because this is the way that things change.

But once again, even if I don't know how GOG'staff define their role in this business, I don't expect them to let me know how it goes with with every partch release each time I come complaining on the forum, especially if they don't have any news to share. And I'm really not sure that is their responsability to harass the dev for having a release that they should take care by themself, same way they do it on Steam.

Definitly, I'd rather blame the devs.
Perhaps someone who owns the game can help me. I'm interested in purchasing the game on GOG but when I read through the Changelog thread the last entry was for patch 173288 back in April 2016. I checked with my friends on Steam and they said the current Steam build is 183874 (back in Jul 2016)! Is the GOG version really so outdated?

I was initially surprised but after reading this thread I'm actually feeling rather upset with Klei and GOG. Now I'm not even sure I want to purchase the game even though I'm a fan of TBS games.
