As I am typing this, I am playing version 1.3.4 the latest available on GOG offline.
I am playing windowed 1080p and streaming the game on twitch.
In the last 43 minutes the game has crashed 4 or 5 times.
So far it always crashes (turn 1) when I click on SOL. It also crashes when I am inside the planet view and I try to exit it by right clicking.
This is ridiculous.

I bought the game when it was brand new, but I would definitely ask for a refund if I could. That's what I get for delaying playin a game I guess.

Seriously this is really bad. I was hoping for some cool game experience (strategy games being my favorite genre) and all I can say now is "seriously?"

Waste of money and waste of time.

Windows 10, i7 5960X, GTX 1660 Super, 64GB RAM, etc.

Good thing I bought the DLC.

Pissed off as I was in the mood for a 4X game and I like what I see so far.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you're having those crashes.

I suspect playing in windowed mode in 1080p while streaming may have something to do with the crashes you report. Could you try playing without streaming to see if you still get the crashes? Can you also try playing without windowed mode to see if that resolves the issue?

What resolution are you playing the game by the way? Do you have an ultra-wide monitor?

If the above doesn't help, can you please check this post to see if any of those suggestions help?

Also, can you check if you have a crash report and please send it to me to contact@praxis-games.com or attach it here on the forums? Crash reports can be found in this folder: C:\Users\User\AppData\LocalLow\Praxis Games\ISG\

Thanks!

Thank you.
I can't do the tests now. I will try what you said later.

There are two log files from the folder you mentioned. I am assuming they are the crash files. I am linking them here (site is wetransfer, it's safe)

Ok, let me know if anything of the above helped. By the way, could yoy also try running the game in GOG Galaxy (online) to see if that resolves the issue?

Thanks for the log files. If you see crash reports in the following folder, could you please send them to me so I could have a look? C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\LocalLow\Praxis Games\ISG\\Crashes\

Thanks.

I do not have GOG Galaxy installed and I will never install it, so that I cannot test.

I tested the game fulllscreen (though the resolution doesn't go higher than 1080p) and the game keeps on crashing the same way. If I click on SOL, or if I try to exit "Sol" 's planet view, with the same error message, I include screenshots below.
BTW, why when I am in the planet view of Earth it names the planet as Gladus White instead of Earth?

I also ran the game full screen with less than maximum graphics setting, same results.

My monitor's native resolution is 2560x1440.
For streams I tend to play when I can at 1080p windowed for obvious reasons.
Though in this case it doesn't seem to matter.

There is no proper crash report in the folder specified.

I tried Vsync OFF (my default for all games), Vsync 1:2, still crashing.

I tried graphics details to low, same.

I tried running the game in admin mode, same.

SOLUTION:
I uninstalled the game, I kept the save files. I re installed the game and things seem to be fine now. Not only no crashes (yet), but also When I zoom in on EARTH I get EARTH and not Gladius White.

One other thing, in the offline installers under DLC there are two installers. One is for the natural law and one is for Soundtrack (6MB in size which says it requires 1MB of size on the disk to install), soundtrack DLC which is version 1.2.4a so at least this time it doesn't install at all. Mind you the offline files have two separate soundtracks under Extras of FLAC and MP3. So I have no idea what the soundtrack under DLC is even about.

So, thanks for the quick replies. I hope this helps in locating and crashing any bug.

Hi, I'm glad to hear you found a solution to the crashes. Re-installing has done it. I do recall now that another GOG user had a similar issue and reinstalling solved it. My memory isn't as good as at it used to be :)

Thanks for the heads up on the Soundtrack DLC in the offline installer, I'll have to check out what the status is on that.

Cheers,
Adam
