I play games and have scores that should list in the Hall of Fame Scores, but never are listed there.
Sadly, this not working is a disappointment in a excellent game, in that there is no personal record of 'what's your best score compared to last time as the XYZ race'.
Nothing to tell me how often I"ve won as what race and what type of victory, etc.

I always thought games missed an easy opportunity for have personal bests, wins, loses, etc, within games like the older Civ games, Gal Civ2, etc, etc, for not doing this, but almost all had some simple working rudimentary personal high score system to compare yourself to.
It seems to me that this game could offer so much more of a feeling of goals to attain if it expanded the idea.

Hi, thanks for your feedback.

When you say that you "have scores that should list in the Hall of Fame Scores, but never are listed there", do you mean you achieved a higher score than the last entry in the top 10, and your playthrough should have been listed? Or, do you mean you think the hall of fame should contain more entries, so you could compare your games and see your personal bests, when your score is lower than the the top 10? If it's the former, then that would be a bug and should be looked at. If it's the latter, then I'm afraid the HOF only lists the top 10 scores.

In case you wish to be listed in the hall of fame, to compare your personal scores from game to game, one thing you can do is manipulate the HOF file and reduce the scores so that your own scores can be listed in your next games. The HOF file is an XML file you can edit with any editor in your PC.

The HOF file can be found here:
C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\LocalLow\Praxis Games\ISG\Hof\hof.xml

Please let me know if you think you had a high enough score that should have been listed in the HOF but it was not, for some reason. By the way, there was a bug in the current version (1.6.2) that caused the game score to sometimes not match between the victory screen (shown upon victory inside the game) and the hall of fame. It could list a higher score in the victory screen then the HOF would list. This bug was resolved in the meantime and a fix will be available in the next update. Maybe this was what happened in your case?
Each time it was the score that I was given after winning the game. (have not lost yet but I also have not ramped up the difficulty, yet, just getting to the point that I fell I've learned the game)
But yes, those scores were higher than several scores in the top ten Hall of Fame Scores listed as stock scores that came with the game.
This is the 1.6.2 version. I bought the game and it's two expansions this summer.
I really like your game, but I found that the final scoring bug thing to be a big turn off. I did not think it would make me reluctant to jump in and play as much as it does. Big surprise to me.

A couple of additional thoughts:
I initially thought some aspects of your game would not be that much fun, space combat, etc. but I was so wrong about that. Once you figure it out.
And I am not sure if adding invasion combat would matter as much as I thought it would for enjoyment of the game, as I've found that extermination and repopulation is preferable to subjugation and is far preferable considering that the new population from that point is of the original species and not your own. Bomb them to extinction and recolonizing and remaking the planet into your own species preferences far more rewarding.

I look forward to the scoring fix, and hope to see an new expansion someday with a couple extra races, as the Evolutions expansion clearly added so much to your game. Love what you have and look forward to what is coming next.
Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad to hear you like the game and are looking forward to the next expansion.

The scoring fix will be available in the next update.

Thanks also for your additional thoughts.

Best,
Adam

Thank you again. Changing that hidden file did the trick.
Just played another game and ... IT never occured to me that the score at end-of-game would be different than the HOF score.
