Hi All,
My mouse behaves erratically during some fights - I think it has to do will animated spell effects on other characters - happened during fights in Iron Mines (esp groups of buffed orc mages), now with groups of undead monks (again with spell buffs being drawn). A sure-fire way for me to die since I can't select my character or target anything when it does that. Perhaps its a rendering speed issue? Seems to get worse with more active effects, but only during combat (?). As soon as I press ESC - mouse behave normally on menu screen. I am running the game normally (no special priv. or compat mode) - under Win 7 professional 64-bit. Everything else works OK, except for some odd texture glitch [red boxes for missing textures] at which point the game freezes. But I can usually play for more than an hour.
Any ideas? HAs anyone else had this issue?
Thanks,
Patrick

Mouse behaving erraticaly is intended. Harmful spells affecting your character cause that. IIRC, Blindness causes mouse cursor to disappear, Confusion causes it to move erratically and dicorientation inverts mouse movement.

Ah - ok, I suppose that makes sense. Is that documented anywhere - couldn't find it myself? It certainly looks like a bug when it happens, and would likely cause confusion for others too. I'm not actually sure my character had an negative affects when this happened, but I will keep a lookout next time.

Edit: OK, the above is true - my character was indeed confused, which woudl explain the erratic mouse. Thanks for the help - hope this may help anyone else who thinks their mouse has gone wonky!
