Hi folks-

I realize perhaps nobody will ever see this, but I thought I would put it together anyway. Perhaps it will inspire some people to get this game. It's the best thing I've played in years, and I just want to record some of my thoughts, now that I've wrested about as much juice as I can out of it. :) As of yet, I haven't really looked online for others' solutions (with one exception, which I'll note). After I post all of this, though, I intend to look at other cool solutions to see what people did.

UPDATE: I will revise my scores below as I improve them. Anything in bold is updated.

Overlord Campaign

Proving Grounds:
Training Routine 1
Cycles: 44
Footprint: 41
Blocks: 4
Notes - I'm pretty sure this is a perfect score. Here's a fun note - my four block solution uses only a single platform block.

Training Routine 2
Cycles: 44
Footprint: 37
Blocks: 6
Notes - I think this is perfect as well. Another challenge - My six block solution only uses an additional three platforms.

Training Routine 3
Cycles: 54
Footprint: 15
Blocks: 4
Notes - Another perfect as far as I know.

Training Routine 4
Cycles: 42
Footprint: 12
Blocks: 3
Notes - Another perfect as far as I know. Lowest block score in the entire game.

Training Routine 5
Cycles: 58
Footprint: 49
Blocks: 9
Notes - I really feel like I should be able to do this faster. I've never found a workable solution at max input rate, though.

Skydock 19:

Munitions Refill Type 2:
Cycles: 36
Footprint: 27
Blocks: 4
Notes - This histogram makes it look like it can be done faster, but I don't see how. 36 cycles is at max input rate, one push, one turn, two sets. I'd love to see how to do it even one cycle faster.

Munitions Refill Type 6:
Cycles: 63
Footprint: 28
Blocks: 7
Notes - I think this is perfect also. Seven block solution uses only three platforms. :)
UPDATE - lowered cycle score from 73 to 63

Shuttle Propulsion Units:
Cycles: 128
Footprint: 34
Blocks: 8
Notes - I feel like maybe this could be done a touch faster, but I'm pretty proud of that eight-block solution. That's as thin as it gets.

Wave Detection Array:
Cycles: 122
Footprint: 68
Blocks: 16
Notes - My first puzzle that requires double-digit blocks. I know all of these scores can be improved, especially footprint. Block score is pretty good, though... but you might be able to shave one off somewhere.

Guided Javelin Type 1:
Cycles: 105
Footprint: 47
Blocks: 16
Notes - I erased my speed solution trying to tune it and now I can't put it back and have no idea what I did, lol. Footprint can probably be improved, but I think the other two scores are pretty rad.

Optical Sensor Array Type 2:
Cycles: 77
Footprint: 33
Blocks: 11
Notes - Block score is good, but the histogram makes it seem like it be done much faster and much smaller footprint. I might keep tinkering on this one, but it's about as good as I can make it, I think.
UPDATE: lowered footprint from 36 to 33

Landing Alignment Lights:
Cycles: 160
Footprint: 168
Blocks: 15
Notes - Block score is tight but my footprint is awful and speed can be improved. I'm thinking maybe for footprint you assemble at the finish line? Can't be bothered to try. I'd like to know how to do it faster.

Optical Sensor Array 4:
Cycles: 107
Footprint: 108
Blocks: 23
Notes - I think my speed here is awesome, but the histogram says my footprint sucks. Whatever. It makes it look like you can do it with fewer blocks as well, and that I'd like to see. This is pretty darn tight.

Small Excavator:
Cycles: 200
Footprint: 96
Blocks: 67
Notes - Histograms say I really suck, but I don't like this level very much. Not sure I care enough to really wrack my brain on this one.
UPDATE: Lowered footprint from 172 to 96, and blocks from 72 to 67

Cargo Uplifter:
Cycles: 157
Footprint: 115
Blocks: 67
Notes - Probably my least favorite puzzle in the entire game. I don't see coming back to this to try and tune it. Awful production placement, finish line placement, producers out of resonance... just the pits of a puzzle.

Production Zone 2:

Terminal Display Reclamation:
Cycles: 35
Footprint: 25
Blocks: 5
Notes - I think this is perfect. Maybe can be done a tick faster?

Shuttle Maintenance:
Cycles: 145
Footprint: 146
Blocks: 38
Notes - I've been busting my butt on this one, as I feel like it should be possible to weld everything on the fly and just blaze through it. This puzzle has just killed me, as I'm always exactly one cycle off to make that happen. SOMEHOW it's possible. I'm just burned out on it.
UPDATE: Lowered cycles and footprint from 149 and 154 to 145 and 146.

Oversight Terminal Model 6:
Cycles: 153
Footprint: 102
Blocks: 39
Notes - I'm pretty frustrated I don't have a faster solution here. Another one that should be weldable on the fly but I just can't get the timing perfect. That footprint histogram is interesting though - how the hell do you do it in half the space?
UPDATE: Lowered cycles from 220 to 153

Drone Maintenance:
Cycles: 124
Footprint: 162
Blocks: 29
Notes - Yet another one torturing me. I am 100% certain this can be just blazed at lightspeed if you can time everything to weld on the fly. Again, I just can't nail that timing though. I am interested in that block histogram, however, since it looks like you can go a lot lower. I'd like to see that one.

Furnished Studio Apartment:
Cycles: 129
Footprint: 280
Blocks: 47
Notes - These numbers are for the only solution I have. I have no idea how to improve any of these, and the histograms tell me I suck. I wouldn't even know where to start. I mean, there is no fat on this thing, but my speed and footprint are both bad and block score looks like I'm more than double the lowest. Insane. I've got to see solutions for this.

Resource Site 338.11:

Guided Javelin Type 2:
Cycles: 125
Footprint: 40
Blocks: 23
Notes - This one is pretty fun. Another one where I deleted the speed version and lost it... but that's pretty blazing. Histograms tell me both footprint and blocks can be tightened, but I have no idea how. Especially blocks - this is pretty tight.

Gneiss Chair:
Cycles: 190
Footprint: 102
Blocks: 61
Notes - I really like this puzzle even though my scores aren't great. There are just so many ways to approach it. At some point I'll go back and cut that block score at least.

Relay Satellite:
Cycles: 128
Footprint: 63
Blocks: 53
Notes - Man, you should have seen the utter mess my first solution was for this. What was I thinking? I feel like this should be doable much faster, as I have a couple of pauses in there. The other two scores are pretty good though.

Terrestrial Surveyor:
Cycles: 152
Footprint: 126
Blocks: 51
Notes - I thought this puzzle was pretty boring. I just have the two optimized solutions and even though the scores aren't great, I'm probably done. Block score is the best one of the three.

Anti-Javelin Point Defense:
Cycles: 125
Footprint: 296
Blocks: 47
Notes - I'm 100% certain this can be done faster and with fewer blocks - but not by much. The footprint histogram puts me about four times the minimum, lol. Just rotating the darn thing would shave off a ton, but I don't really care. Way too much work to really optimize for footprint on this puzzle.

Meat Product Type 57:
Cycles: 232
Footprint: 132
Blocks: 21
Notes - This puzzle is the most hilarious in the whole game! I loved it. I think my cycle and block scores are elite as can be. Go ahead and beat 'em, sucker. Histogram looks like the footprint can be improved, but I have no idea how - I feel like I'm at the absolute minimum. Fun fact: my 21 block solution took 5225 cycles.

Relaxant Formula 13:
Cycles: 155
Footprint: 201
Blocks: 64
Notes - I spent A LOT of time tinkering with this and my cycle and footprint scores both still suck. I would really love to see how to do it faster, since I'm at max input and the only pause is for the container to fill. Block score is nice and tight at least. Fun fact: All my solutions use a pretty rad automated pusher via free-floating block.

Terrestrial Drone:
Cycles: 280
Footprint: 339
Blocks: 191
Notes - My scores here are just trash. I've got a solution about 75% done that will dramatically improve all three, but I keep putting it off since I have to time the welding of the cannon and computer, and I'm getting real sick of timing flying welds.

Meat Product Type 101:
Cycles: 90
Footprint: 149
Blocks: 35
Notes - I dunno, this feels pretty perfect to me. Another hilarious puzzle. Maybe it could be done a tick or two faster, and MAYBE one block less, but these scores are tight as heck.

Aerial Combat Shuttle:
Cycles: 325
Footprint: 357
Blocks: 113
Notes - More complete trash scores with a second solution about 75% done. I just have to weld on the thrusters and deliver the shuttle to the finish line and weld on the cockpit... but same ol' welding-on-the-fly timing issue that I'm so fed up with.

Resistance Campaign

The Heist:

Teleporter Experiment 1:
Cycles: 66
Footprint: 30
Blocks: 5
Notes - Pretty sure this is perfect.

Teleporter Experiment 2:
Cycles: 158
Footprint: 36
Blocks: 7
Notes - Block score should be perfect, but it says I can go faster/smaller. I can't conceive of how. It's so simple a puzzle - where's the extra speed? And my footprint sure as heck looks perfect. I dunno, man.
UPDATE: Lowered block score from 10 to 7

Teleporter Experiment 3:
Cycles: 98
Footprint: 51
Blocks: 14
Notes - I'm pretty sure footprint and block scores are perfect. I have no idea how to tighten the speed, but the histogram shows an entire column to the left, so...

Teleporter Experiment 4:
Cycles: 154
Footprint: 93
Blocks: 13
Notes - Same as the last one. I'm pretty darn fast, but there must be some trick somehow to shave it down even further.

Terrestial Surveyor:
Cycles: 204
Footprint: 292
Blocks: 98
Notes - All three scores are pretty mediocre. I had an idea for a pretty cool vertical assembly that fell apart, lol. Maybe I'll mess with this at some point.

Anti-Javelin Satellite:
Cycles: 280
Footprint: 319
Blocks: 142
Notes - Extremely mediocre. I would have to try something completely different to fix any of this. Bleh.

The Big Blowout:
Cycles: 570
Footprint: 290
Blocks: 176
Notes - OK, so I have actually worked on this a lot. I have several totally different solutions, and they're all various shades of not-very-good. I'm pretty frustrated as I feel like I should be able to do it much much faster... but it's just so darn complex every solution ends up requiring extra steps I didn't think about.

Production Zone 1:

Hull Panels:
Cycles: 124
Footprint: 66
Blocks: 21
Notes - This feels pretty perfect. Maybe the footprint could be shaved? Maybe one block less?
UPDATE: Lowered footprint from 68 to 66

Central Axis Support:
Cycles: 154
Footprint: 334
Blocks: 37
Notes - Block score is really nice and tight, but those dang histograms again - how the heck can you do it in half the time? My block score solution is one of my favorites in the whole game. One laser and four drills do all the cutting. ALL of it. Even the initial cut to create the block from the extruder. Beat that!

Docking Clamp:
Cycles: 346
Footprint: 278
Blocks: 99
Notes - I lost my footprint solution and can't figure out what I did, lol. I have several totally different solutions to this one, and my low-block solution is really fun. Lots of rotating as it spins through different operations. Looks like my scores suck, though. I'd like to find a way to really improve that speed.

Structural Frame:
Cycles: 287
Footprint: 281
Blocks: 122
Notes - More mediocrity. Not my favorite puzzle. I should figure out a low-block solution, but the welds on this one are just boring and awkward. Some day.

Anti-Javelin Battery:
Cycles: 259
Footprint: 400
Blocks: 144
Notes - This is actually a really fun puzzle, and I've made a bunch of solutions, but I keep making them pretty instead of efficient, lol. Horrible scores here. I wanna see that block solution that's one-fifth of what I have, holy moly!

Mag-Tube Corridor:
Cycles: 303
Footprint: 462
Blocks: 120
Notes - I totally lost my speed solution and now I can't come even close! More mediocrity. I know it can be done with a lot fewer blocks. This is the most wasteful puzzle in the game - every solution I have ends up kicking out most of the cubes I cut and tossing them in the lava. The producers are so out of resonance it's ridiculous.

Solar Cell Array:
Cycles: 800
Footprint: 292
Blocks: 85
Notes - I like this puzzle. My first time with an "always on" laser beam. Block score is pretty good, but the rest are trash. I'm sure I can do much better.

Atropos Station:

Landing Alignment Guide:
Cycles: 205
Footprint: 200
Blocks: 19
Notes - Block score is awesome, but I'm mystified about that footprint histogram. 2/3 the size? Less? I have no clues how to do that.
UPDATE: Lowered footprint from 226 to 200 and shaved off a block from 20 to 19

Control Console:
Cycles: 377
Footprint: 356
Blocks: 161
Notes - Utterly awful scores, but I haven't really made a serious attempt at a second solution. This is all from my initial go at it. And it is ugly as sin.

Laser Calibration Target:
Cycles: 248
Footprint: 174
Blocks: 18
Notes - Go ahead and beat that block score! Go ahead, I dare ya! Then show me why my footprint is so darn high, because I can't figure it out.

Life Support System:
Cycles: 467
Footprint: 324
Blocks: 233
Notes - Bloody awful scores. I have a solution about 50% finished that uses ingenious flying drills to do all the cutting, but again, dat weld timing. Stupid posts. If I can figure it out, it should come in under 100 blocks and half the time.

Space Buoy:
Cycles: 202
Footprint: 291
Blocks: 52
Notes - I feel like that block score is pretty darn impressive. Could maybe shave a couple off, but that's pretty tight. Speed is ok and I just can't be bothered to care about footprint on this one.

Resistance Shuttles:
Cycles: 852
Footprint: 485
Blocks: 350
Notes - Oh my god, save me. I have exactly one solution for this and it is hideous. A second solution that's at 157 blocks falls apart after two iterations, which is so incredibly frustrating. I hate this one.

The Homeward Fleet:

Navigation Computer:
Cycles: 500
Footprint: 726
Blocks: 340
Notes - (bleep) this puzzle. This is the one I had to look up online just to see the trick to it - twice. I wasted so much time trying to figure it out on my own without knowing the additional properties to welders that are required to solve it. This is my one and only solution, it's laughably awful, and I don't care. This is the granddaddy of all weld-on-the-fly problems. Dat footprint score, lol. Ugh.

Fusion Reactor:
Cycles: 1609
Footprint: 1050
Blocks: 972
Notes - lol, omg, just kill me. I look at this insanely over-bloated octopus of a solution and just cringe at the thought of starting all over again.

Crew Quarters:
Cycles: 1066
Footprint: 1243
Blocks: 400
Notes - OK, so this one is also a disaster, but shouldn't be that bad. I have a solution I'm working on that's at 133 blocks and only needs the beds welded on. It should also cream both the cycle and footprint scores. I'd like to finish it, so this may be the next thing I do when I come back to the game.

Plasma Engine:
Cycles: 858
Footprint: 1429
Blocks: 453
Notes - My only solution here as well. Cycle score is actually pretty good. I have a solution about 40% done with only a handful of blocks, but I might scrap it as I don't like the way the assembled frame has to move. So hard to keep from bandaging yourself with those ridiculously huge frames and such tiny workspace. Fun note - my first use of the double-pusher on this solution. (A pusher that pushes a pusher!)

Fire-Control System:
Cycles: 773
Footprint: 341
Blocks: 372
Notes - Yeah, I hated this. I know some people thought it was an awesome curveball, but it just stressed me out, lol. The reason my footprint and block scores are so bad is because I built my command center right under the monitor. I had to do this a dozen times and still barely survived with one hit point. Yech.

Skip Drive:
Cycles: 492
Footprint: 1710
Blocks: 820
Notes - Yeah, I dare you to build anything in the game with a worse footprint score, ha ha! What an insane monster this is. Lots of great stuff in my solution with rotators, lifters, a really fun floating welder system to make that one SOAB vertical weld... it's just crazy. Maybe someday I'll do this one again from scratch. Maybe.

So there you have it! Every puzzle in the game. I hope some people can look through this and have fun trying to match or beat my scores. I'd love to hear from folks who manage to better what I have - especially in earlier puzzles that I have pretty tight. This is such an amazing game and it's given me many hours of pure joy. Good luck!
I take it that these numbers for each level are the best overall and do not refer to the same solution, right?

Of course, ha ha! Are you kidding? Read straight off the charts.
OK, prepare to cry as soon as I get back and post my numbers.

The only from the early ones that I never tried to improve.
