There's still no official announcement but the game page is there and it is linked in the front page: Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine is available for purchase on GOG.

I never played this game, and I didn't expect to, since I read it was very difficult to make it work on modern PCs. Looks like the GOG guys made their magic again.

Edit: news post has appeared.

It's not very difficulty to run it on modern system, so no "magic" involved

Has anyone tried the game with an Xbox 360 controller yet?

even with this Patch you linked, the old version had some Problems on many systems. For example there was a switch not working near the end of the game, wich made it impossible to solve it.
I patched the old Version myself only a year ago and played it through but ther wher somw bugs still in it.

Lets hope the Gog Version is Flawless and will support other languages soon.

If gog or Disney is reading this I want to say. Thank you for this game. I have been looking to play it for a loooooong time now. Back in the day I never had the PC to run it. Im so happy.
I tried this game in the past and the installer was incompatible with modern windows. It was solved with an installer for 64 bits apparently.

But If I am not wrong the game had serious problems in framerate and with widescreen resolutions, incorect menus aspect ratios, FOV etc.

What I have tested in the gog version for now all run smooth and the aspect ratios are corrected. effects like the fog and trilinear works fine all is running in 32 bit color. all works great for me. What I do not know is if the game had some kind of shadows and if they work.

Id like to now also if gog have plans to add different langages to the game.

For now I have tested the first map in windows 7 64 bits.

greetings

Just bought the infernal machine. Have waited for this game a long time. Having problems that Indy won't pick up the treasures. Tried lots of things but he just won't pick them up. Any suggestions? Playing on windows 7 and currently using the xbox 360 controls but using a keyboard.
keyboard wise with no rebinding, controls are similar to those in tomb raider.
To pick up things/use/shoot Ctrl key, to jump Alt or X Key.

Thanks, I thought I tried everything. It is all working. I am very happy that GOG released this game.

tried with XB1 controller an I couldn't manage. Fortunately I still remember how to handle this game exclusively with a keyboard from my young days. :))))
The controller does work, it's just that the game is not optimised for it.
The game detects even my joystick but the control is not very good.
It runs in my generic gamepad, i have not tried it, but in theory the control should be better, after all there was a N64 port of this game, but I am not very optimistic.
I guess the best control is keyboard only. Probably the developers had Keyboard in mind and gamepads were a later addition.
Or maybe is a matter of getting used.

EDIT: even the mouse can be used to play but it is bugged as hell making menus incontrolable.

Just purchased the game myself. The resolution can be troublesome if you set it wrong to the point you have to reinstall the game to fix it.

Definently the Lucasarts desginers wanted to make the controls as much like those in "Tomb Raider" as possible whichmeant Keyboard only.
