This guide is for those who are having Assert Handler errors and random crashes when finishing puzzles in Teotihuacan, Olmec Valley and King Sol's Mines.

It seems like the game is very sensitive to modern devices and many people are encountering "crash triggers" differently. Sadly, most of the time it depends on the computer you are playing on so this guide is not for everyone. I just know its hard to find a fix for these problems so I'm writing this small guide to make things easier for those who had the same issues as I did.

My game crashed when I put all the statues in Teotihuacan and in Olmec Valley boss battle when I tried to open the large room with the switch to get the 3rd machine part in the boss room. Worst thing is - these crashes broke my latest save files that are minutes before finishing the puzzle which means that I couldn't load the game and had to start from the beginning or load non-quicksave files I made earlier in the level. Yes, you can find a savegame file on the internet and continue, but then you wouldn't have the same health and ammo items you had in your inventory so I managed to do some workarounds without importing savegame files from the internet.

Teotihuacan: Before you put all 3 statues in the podium room, make sure that those 3 huge gears that open the room are pointing to that room, just like you did when you opened that door. After that, put the Fish statue in the middle, then Bird statue to the left and finally Jaguar statue to the right and you should pass the puzzle without crashing the game.
Olmec Valley: Before opening the boss room by lighting the torches, start with the other room by lighting the left torch first and you should avoid the crash - it's that simple.
King Sol's Mines: I personally didn't have this issue, but I read online that for some people game crashed before putting the gems in their sockets. In order to avoid CTD, make sure you have all the gems in your inventory and then you should be safe to proceed.
Assert Handler error when shooting the big guns (Rifle, Shotgun, Machine Gun, Bazooka): It is possible to shoot those guns without crashing the game, problem is timing. Shoot only when Indy is aiming at the target and you should be fine. Crash occurs when you are not aiming at anything. Just imagine that you are playing Dark Souls - if you miss, you may face the ultimate punishment CRASH TO DESKTOP. Fortunately, if you accidentally crashed the game by not shooting the target, it won't break your save file.

When you progress in game, make 2 manual save files and overwrite those files one by one starting with the oldest one, so if game corrupts one of your save files, you would have another one which is a bit older (it's better than starting all over). Save once you've progressed and save again later, but on a 2nd save file. Quicksave as much as you want, it doesn't matter if your game works fine for now.

Generally, to stop breaking the game in some levels, collect as much key items as possible before proceeding. It's truly sad that this game is so broken on modern devices, but if you are willing to enjoy it anyways, I hope this guide helps.

English is not my native language, so if you find some stupid mistakes, i'm sorry, tried my best :(
