Doing my part for the brave captains out there, I scanned a quick reference keyboard card that I had with my original version. It's a lifesaver for me.

Thanks for sharing!
I wish GOG could make a proper versio of this available.

Cheers, amazing work! Once I'd sorted my problem with the game skipping, this was going to be my next request. ;)
I've done a really quick&nasty rotation and merge of the two files, for those who aren't planning on printing it out:

Nice ! I was going to request this too, as I've lost the one that I got with my physical copy back in the days.
Thanks for this.
You're my hero! Just what I was looking for! Thanks! :-D
Thanks for that. I'd forgotten how complicated those controls were!

PS - there's another one here, but some of the keys appear to be... different.

I think the OP was showing the card for the original I-War. The one you posted is labeled for I-War 2, but it's quite a bit different than the card that came with my US retail version. I wonder why they're so much different? Maybe there was an early release that didn't cover all of the eventual feature set.

I've scanned my I-War 2 card, front and back, and will try to stitch the scans together into something resembling a coherent whole. One done, I'll be back to post them here.

Edit - I'm making a botch job of it since I suck at Gimp. If anyone wants to give it a shot, I can e-mail the files to you.

Thanks for uploading your scans!
I wonder, is it possible to target subsystems in I-War 1? In that case you could disable the mine launcher asap in Sim. mission 4 (WEP Advanced)

I have made a proper stitched image in the GIMP, by using layers and the healing brush. I will upload it once I get my Imageshack account in order again...

You can, you need to be fairly close to the target, then use the 'target enemy under crosshair' button. Each press will cycle through to the next subtarget.

"Fairly close" to a destroyer who constantly spams mines and uses his 8 PBC's to cut right through my hull equals death in this game. By the time you have found the subsys you're looking for, you are already dead twice or thrice over.
This game is too difficult for me, I think I'm giving up. If only they had included an option to lower the difficulty...When I play games, I don't want to feel like a programmer on a deadline, I want to have fun.

This is great! Thank you! Aaaaah the memories.
As mentioned in another thread (http://www.gog.com/en/forum/independence_war_series/edge_of_chaos_keycard), I've scanned my correct copy of the I-War2 EoC key-ref card, into four separate printable scans. They're a nice full-size 300 dpi and quite readable, but the 1MB+ files don't play nice with the attachment feature on the site.

If anyone wants a copy of the four files, feel free to PM me with your email address. And a big fat +1 to anyone who will subsequently host them for download and then link them in this thread. (I don't want to make a photbucket, etc, account but if someone else already has something like that....)
Gonna bump this in case anyone needs the EoC reference card. Just shoot me a PM with your email address and I'll send the four parts I scanned from my original.
PM sent. Thanks, man! :-)
Bah, I sucked it up and got an Imageshack account. Let me see if I can make some links to the four files:

Hopefully that works.
