About halfway through I-War 2 and I'm stuck. All the walkthroughs I've found are useless on this point. I know I got past this mission once, but that was years ago. Can anyone help out?

The mission calls for me to dock at a space station and get some disruptors so I can disable a cargo ship carrying antimatter before a radical faction can blow up a police station. I dock at the station, I get a bunch of side dialog, but when I undock, I don't have any disruptors on board--just the weapons I launched with. I've tried docking with an open hardpoint and with an unloaded missile launcher, but that doesn't make a difference.

Not sure what to do here. I need those disruptors, because shooting with a Gatling Cannon at a ship full of antimatter is a good way to end the game with a flash and a bang.

Help a pirate out?
Going off a fuzzy memory here since I haven't loaded it on the new machine yet...

Isn't the disruptor a missile weapon? If so, have you cycled through your missile load-out to find it?

I think it's a missile weapon, yeah. I've cycled through my missile loadout to no avail. I've launched with an empty launcher, even an empty hardpoint capable of holding a launcher.

A disruptor isn't the same as an LDSI missile, is it? What's the difference?
Similar, but not the same. Think of a Disruptor as a weapon that knocks out the entire ship, while the LDSI missile takes out only the LDSI drive so you can catch a target that is trying to zip out of the area. Neither do permanent harm and both have limited-duration effects. The LDSI missile seems to enter LDSI itself, following its target even after it beats feet. You'll know that you hit your target with a Disruptor when you see a blue and white 'lightning field' surrounding it, along with that crackling noise. This is the weapon used against young Cal in the intro movie, when encountered by Maas.

Another dumb question for you: have you checked your load-out after undocking? Maybe it doesn't show up until after you leave. I figure you probably have done so since it's likely you got to that point in the mission, looked for the weapon to shoot the Kong with, and discovered it missing.
