I am 100% confident in I-War 2 being available from GOG :)

Ahhh I just noticed it's been added to the catalog. :)
Can anyone confirm if the graphical issues have been sorted? It'll be an instant buy for me if they have. :)
More importantly, can anyone confirm the Dagda-related issues have been fixed so you can actually finish the Corporate Holdings mission and proceed with the story?
Though it is GOG we're talking about here. Can't imagine them releasing a game you can't even finish.
Suppose I could just buy the game, install it and transfer my saves from my CD install of the game and see what happens.
What issues with Dagda were there? I played through several times and never had problems with that mission...
Ahh I've bought it anyway fingers crossed everything has been fixed!! :)
Have you tried it in recent years, with a modern PC? It worked fine for me too back in the days when the game was still new, but not anymore now. And from what I've read on other Iwar related forums in the last few years, most people seem to have the same issue.
The problem being that it usually locks up in Dagda, sometimes right after entering through the backdoor L-point from Mwari, sometimes after taking out the minefield, sometimes even later than that. And when it doesn't lock up you get some weird issue instead where the view automatically changes to some random point in space and you can't do anything anymore.
Anyways, just got the GOG version and tested it, and sadly enough it doesn't seem to be fixed at all.
Ah right no I haven't got that far, yeah the texture issues haven't been fixed either, a little disappointed GOG considering the great job you normally do, there seem to be some serious issues that remain unfixed with this great game. :(
Just a quick two word response to I-War 2's appearance on GOG:
fookin'
awesome
I may have to buy it, well, just because. Be nice to play without CDs anyway.
Re: Dagda. Running from the CDs, I didn't encounter any mission problems. My PC is a bit older so maybe that makes a difference. For other folks' reference as concerns this reported bug, the 4+ year-old laptop play it on is:
Dell 9400 / E1705
Intel T2300 1.66 GHz, Centrino Duo
2 GB RAM
nVidia Go 7800, 512 MB
XP Media Center, SP3
Can't recall which joystick, but IIRC it's a Logitech unit about 6 years old
Edit: note that this is the CD version, not GOGs. Someone said it appears in both versions so I figure my system info might still be relevant for those seeking a solution.

Lucretia's base still flickers a bit or lot depending on distance but the GOG version flickers a lot less than the disk version I had installed before. Running on an old ATI 3650 card. I had an Nvidia card before and that was worse. Then the flickering was so bad it spoilt the atmosphere too much. The fog in the esprit is what is causing the problems.

Slightly annoying but a minor graphics glitch really, but YMMV may vary depending on your setup. There was DX8 version in beta but it never got released. The developer from particle systems Stephen Robertson who was on the forums still has it. I also hacked my flux file to try and fix the flickering but no success.

I also have an old DX7 machine and run it on that with the old drivers from that era.

The DX8 version added bump mapped asteroids and shadows for planetary rings, but other than that didn't really add anything major. It was created originally as a demo for Nvidia.

GOG have the DX8 patch because I gave it to them, but for some reason they didn't decide to use it - perhaps for technical reasons because I'm not sure it works properly on modern cards.
I get glitches in the graphics in that structures flicker in and out of existence and sometimes become partially see through so I can see the back-end of it sticking out the front, ships are usually pretty good though. Slightly annoying, but nothing major and doesn't affect gameplay.
If there's one thing that bugs me slightly about the graphics in I-War 2 it's the LOD distances. With the high resolutions it makes it more obvious that stuff like the weapon pods on a heavy corvette aren't rendered after a certain distance, so they just pop into existence at a certain range. Not a huge deal, just something that bugs me sometimes.
Texture flickering can be reduced by using minimal shader quality in graphics options

I can't get it to run higher than 1920x1080 though my card supports 2560x1440
