Is this game ancient times only, or can you keep playing into more modern time periods like in Civilization games?

The game campaign covers a timespan from 304b.c. to 27b.c. At game end you can click a Continue button &
play on.

You can easily edit the start & end date with this method: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1729370143

Alternatively you can use a CKII converter ...

... or a CK III converter ...

... in order to continue your campaign in CKII/III & later maybe in EUIII/IV, Victoria II and HOI III/IV.

Hi - I'm downloading the game and it looks like this link is broken:

https://www.gog.com/downloads/imperator_rome/en1installer1

it returns a 404 page

Please advise

Thanks
