I downloaded the english installer, but after installation the game is in german? WTF?

That's normal. GOG's IWD EE version is multilingual. Selecting the installer only affects the language of the installer itself. Once you start the game, the default language is the one of your Windows, which seems to be German in your case.
On the main menu go to Optionen => Sprache and select English. Restart IWD and voilà, it's English ;-)

Ah yeah thanks. I normally install english versions, since German versions are often cut7censored, that`s why I asked. But here the german version seems not to be censored, the enemies can die really bloody :D
But the german voiceovers are really bad, often the speakers sound like they are bored to death!

Oh damn, wanted to mark your post as solution and accidentally reported it as spam! Sorry, I hope that GoG recognizes the failure!

Me too, I only use the German version if it's the original one, to say it's a German game.
