It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Obviously, I'd rather get it DRM-Free, but it seems a bunch of people can't even launch the GOG version. Does it work now? What should I do?

Thanks

I don't know what the others are saying, but I've been able to start and play it everywhere (if system requirements match) for years. Also, as far as DRM is concerned, people are clearly confusing things. DRM-free simply means "no copy protection", but I read in reviews that they are talking about spyware that even logs the web browser. But it's quite simple: anonymous data is collected ONLY in relation to the game. Some people are really paranoid.

I know, that's why I prefer buying from GOG. Most games on Steam have actual DRM. Anyway, thanks, good to know the game runs.

GOG version runs fine and pretty sure all patching is complete on this one, so not much concern about not getting an update. The game is demanding! It demands RAM! Mine (with 16GB PC3200 RAM) will crash if I do not make a LARGE swap/paging file of 16 GB or greater (or system managed). I usually manually make a little 32-2048 MB one and that is a no-no when playing HZD.

Also, you can Firewall block the game to avoid the "data mining" as long as you don't care about having your back patted via "achievements" and the like.
