JClosed: We just need to have some patience then. I don't mind, as long as it's DRM free (and NO, data collection that simply can be blocked in your firewall is NOT DRM).

anidais: I have the first game on Epic and it's DRM-free there too. No need to use the client to play it. Hopefully it's the same for the sequel.
Does Epic have offline installers?

As far as I know, they have not. GOG is (also as far as I know) the only one that has off-line installers.

That's the reason GOG is my to-go store (if possible of course). I do not say GOG is perfect, far from that. Especially the off-line install files are updated very late and slowly compared to Galaxy updates and nearly every other sales platforms. And that can be frustrating at times. Still - I prefer GOG for that off-line installing possibility.

There is an alternate launcher application, Heroic Games Launcher that allows you to circumvent the Epic launcher and install the Epic games you own (also available on Linux and macOS). I realize this is not an offline installation, but it can be close enough.

I'd love to see the sequel come to GoG, this is my preferred store.

TBH, I don't mind if I have to wait a long while -- I would just like GoG to confirm that it will come at some point. That way, I can hold off buying it on Steam.

Nothing is confirmed but it will probably come in around a year or so, maybe even less. God of War released recently on GOG so I don´t see why Sony would not release this too considering the first game is here. They will just wait like they did with all their releases on GOG.
Waiting for GOG-Release too, as I did with the predecessor, and won't buy it on steam or other plattforms.

Seconding this. For a drm-free version I'm willing to pay full price
Yep - I just wait until the second game is here on GOG. It's already released on Steam, and I think it's just a question of time before it will also be sold here. I just want a DRM-Free off-line version of the game.

If I have to pay a few Euro's more I won't care about it. It's not that I am poor, and having a non-platform-bounded version is worth a few extra Euro's in my humble opinion.
Second game must come to GOG or purchase of the first game makes no sense.

Feast or famine.

Yeah, in my opinion a release of Forbidden West on GOG is very likely. I believe it was the last Sony game on PC with no requirement for a PSN account unlike their newer games which require it like Ghost of Tsushima. If those release on GOG then Sony would need to remove that requirement.
Well they didn't release 100 titles but that's ok. FW is still coming to PC, so that should mean GOG.

Well - It's already on Steam, and does not need a PSN account that would prevent it from going to GOG, so there is still a chance. Let's hope and pray Square does not add that mandatory PSN account later, because that would be the "end of the line" for a possible GOG release.

I think you meant Sony and not Square.

The Horizon titles are developed by Guerilla Games, which is owned by Sony now.

I stand corrected here. My mistake.

Still - The message holds up. There is still a chance this game will come to GOG.
I admit - Chances are not that big after that "remaster" debacle for the first game, but still...
