Keith_I2: It's not hard to read between the lines of various posts that a lot of gamers are either unemployed or too young to have purchasing funds. The GOG version includes the newest patch 1.08. Any new patches will automatically be added to your owned games list. Maybe steam does this but for some reason, steam gamers have far too many problems with their steam games.
Or.. Hear me out here .. people have limited amount of cash they can use freely on random stuff for even with a job they can't afford too much extra stuff thats frievlous(for example married with a kid even if both parents are working funds for frievious stuff are way more limited as a result ) and/or do have a sense of what they feel something is worth even when they have more then enough money to spend on something full price..

You're kidding right? I can drive up the road and buy this for $10.50 right now on ps4, Why would anyone pay $75 when you can get it for $10?

Got the game for 8 bucks new on PS4 and barely played. This game should be at least 30, not 50.
Wait for sale, simple as that. I bought it for 50 because open world, extra content, pretty good game overall, its worth it.
low rated
Horizon zero dawn is a scam in plain sight.

No. The game is not bad, it'S very good in fact. It's just overpriced.

Mind-blowing response: "You're either too poor or too young to have the funds necessary to pay a full AAA price for a game which is already 3 years old".

Actually I wont pay more than the game itself deserve. For my region this price is like twice Cyberpunk. So this "unemployed logic" worth nothing.
I think it's a bit expensive, sure. But then again, if you don't think it's worth your money, then don't buy it. Simple.

On the other hand, I hear people say all the time that they'd rather pay a higher premium for games without DRM, yet here we are.

Keep in mind that they also have a 30 day money back guarantee, so if it DOES drop in price, I'm assuming they'll at least refund the difference.

I would pay more for drm free in most cases but when a game is a set age it kinda makes no sense to have it be as high as it is when on other platforms it can be gotten way way cheaper for the whole package.. though if say a game is usually I don't know say for example 30 dollars I would gladly pay 10 or so more dollars added to it I would be more then happy to pay extra in such a case

Well, apparently the game is the same price on Steam, so it has nothing to do with it being DRM-free.

I mean, the game looks amazing and I am going to buy it. But, I agree it seems pricey for a 3 year old game that is selling for $20 on Playstation. When games are released simultaneously on PC and console, the PC version doesn't usually cost >2x the price of the console version, does it?

There is a huge contrast with the Talos Principle release, which was 90% off for the first week ($5!!).

actually it's only 10 bucks during holiday season, was last year and is this year too, on ps4.

I didn't pay a premium for DRM for the Witcher games, not A plague tale Innocence, or the Bioshock collection, nor the Bethesda games I've gotten on here. They all seem to be about the same price as Steam is selling them for. I don't think GOG charges us a premium for DRM free, and I imagine the decision to sell it for $50 probably came down to Sony, maybe. They're charging $50 on Steam too, which is bollocks, and it hasn't gone on sale yet. I believe they actually were gonna sell it for the same price as console at first but then something happened, maybe people pirated it and so Sony upped the price, idk, that might've just been a rumor but i do remember people saying they pre-ordered before it was even released on Steam that they bought it for $20.

Why cant yall stop complaining and just wait for a sale? Seriously. Its not hard. I do it all the time. I never buy certain games without a sale.

I'm glad you are. Ok, I could have phrased that differently, like "it may be overpriced" :D

As I said earlier, I may even have payed the full 50€ if I didn't already own the PS4 version (which I bought for 20€). I'm looking forward to play the game on PC quality, but just to REPLAY it, 50$ are too much for me.

My pile of shame is high enough, I can wait.

Let's just say the 50€ for this game are less overpriced than the 40€ for XIII Remake.

This exactly.

I'm at the gamepoint where I got the "Override" skill, so pretty early, and already it's clear this is a total AAA grade title, maybe not Witcher 3, but damn near as good or better as any of the Far Crys or the latest Metro which I just finished.

To have such a title on GOG is a rare enough occasion, even though in the last years we are seeing more Day1 releases and bigger names.

I can't say how the PS4 version would compare with it's cheaper price, but to me this title looks and feels properly like a 2020 or maybe 2019 release. It's definitley worth a full price game purchase to me, especially seeing how it includes the DLC. And it comes when there are Corona Lockdowns and restrictions of outside world activities which couldn't be better timed.

That said, I purchase rather selectivley and are fortunate to be well employed in these funky crisis times, I can see how others would feel it a bit much.
