killy9999: I have a question about game saves in Homeworld 2 Remastered. I would expect that the save and load game dialogue windows sort the saves in reverse chronological order (newest first). However, it seems that the saves are displayed in totally random order, which is extremely irritating. "Which save is the last one I used to save my progress?" I wonder if it might have anything to do with the game running under Wine on Linux. Is this the normal behaviour of HW2 on Windows? Is there anything that can be done about that? It might sound like a minor thing but it really ruins my experience.
Aerpoweron: Hi killy9999,
I have the same problem running Windows 10. And i save my games like:
01.1-Mission start
01.2-Assaulting carrier
01.3-Carrier captured
....
I thought the saves would be sorted in alphabetic order, like in the original Homeworld. But they are in a totally random order when i go to the "Load"-menu.
Hey there,
it's a litte bit late but as far as I see the savegames are ordered in the alphabetical way they are saved to the disk, i.e. "savegameX.sav".
This leads to the strange (actually pretty straightforward) behavior that between "savegame1.sav" and "savegame2.sav" every savegame "savegame1(0-9).sav" is listed.
I named my savegames in HW1:Remastered "Mission X - Y" with ascending X and Y from 1 to N (for example "Mission 2 - 5" for the fifth savegame in mission 2).
Maybe if you tend to use a system similar to mine you find your savegames more easily?
