DLC plans involving Hornet scrapped. Instead, there'll be a full-sized sequel with her as the main character.

Thanks for sharing, it looks incredible! Go Team Cherry!

Definitely going to pay full price for this one. I still feel guilty for having picked up the first game for a big discount. Even at max price, it's too cheap for what it is. :v

You're spot on with it being ridiculously cheap. The amount of quality content in the base game was already massive at launch, with the updates adding even more. And from what they're saying we can expect similar levels in the sequel.

There's a kickstarter update as well: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/11662585/hollow-knight/posts/2416131, which also serves a reminder that they only brought in ~57000 AUS$ and managed to turn that into the game we got. Spectacular achievement. The existence of Hollow Knight and Rain World justifies all the hopes put into the kickstarter project when it first began, for me at least.
I wonder when GoG is going to have a page up for the game.

Team Cherry confirmed they're bringing it to GOG, but there's no release date yet and no Steam page either, so probably not for a while.
Considering that Hollow Knight took two and a half years to make, if you include the months they worked on it leading up to the kickstarter, then Silksong will likely take at least another year to finish, maybe two. It's hard to tell though as this team works very quickly.

Thanks. For some reason I thought the game was out already and was wondering where the page was.

If only! That would have been crazy. The trailer is so fleshed out that it does look like ti could come out any day now. That's the hopeful part of me that wants to see a 2019 release.

They mentioned "sitting on [the trailer] for a while" so... given how much is actually in the trailer, it looks like it's nearly complete. But then again, this is Team Cherry - they'll probably hold off release until it's fully polished. So who knows.

Still, fingers crossed for a 2019 release here, too!

Yesssssss. Can't wait. Hollow Knight is my favorite game in a long time.
Can't wait to play this. Hollow Knight was my personal Game of the year 2018. I have no idea how i could miss it in 2017.

Hype!
Haven't been excited for a game in awhile. The first playthrough of Hollow Knight was so memorable. I am hoping to get a glimpse of that again with their new release.
Nice to see the GOG logo on their site.

Now to see something equally awesome for Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Hopefully I won't have to wait so long to pick up the next Ori game, but I'll be snatching Silksong right up...

Twice.

When I buy a game on GOG they're MUCH more likely to also get a Switch sale as an added bonus.

Getting a game here makes me happy, and a happy me spends more money :)
I really want the new game.
I hope it will not be too demanding or else I might not be able to play it, but from the looks of it, it looked like the first game, it will work out.
I wonder how long it will take till we see it on GOG.
The devs announced it for GOG already so I would assume it would hit all platforms at the same time. They didn't announce any timeframe so it might just be a matter of waiting for more specifics.

Team Cherry put in some major effort for the GOG version, putting in cloud saves, achievements, and such after the fact.

Wonder no more; the page is up now (bot no price or option to pre-order).

Edit: https://www.gog.com/game/hollow_knight_silksong

(No mention of Linux/Mac on the page for some reason.)
