In the mission "A House of Cards," one of the vital functions is that you are able to call the sheik on the cell phone in the scientist's room.

When you activate this function, it's supposed to cause a cutscene to appear, and then the sheik will go outside.

However, in my game, I am unable to activate the "REDIALSHEIK" (that's how it appears on the in-game menu) button.

The prompt to activate that function appears on my screen, yet when I press the action button, all that happens in my game is: a new prompt appears that says "CANCEL," underneath the original prompt of "REDIALSHEIK."

I can scroll to select which function I want to activate out of those two prompts.

But if I select the "REDIALSHEIK" prompt, then nothing happens at all.

There is no cutscene that comes up, and the sheik never comes outside.

I tried shutting down the whole game and then I played again a few hours later, and I re-did the whole level from scratch.

The second time, the exact same problem occurred.

I also verified my game files between those two play sessions.

I'm using version 1.2.

Can anyone please tell me what's going on here?

Is your "REDIALSHEIK" function also broken in the 1.2 version of the GOG version of Blood Money?

Or does it work for you?
