haven't installed it yet. what's the big deal? is POL music really that bad? does it work with other fan mods/patches?

Expansion changes town themes and many people (myself included ;) ) prefers the originals.
That patch is no longer needed anyway, the latest version allows to switch between PoL / SW tracks - you can find shortcut in Start Menu for that.

There seems to be still one glitch in homm2_05.ogg (there is a very small glitch at almost 30seconds after the beginning of the song) of the succession wars soundtrack.
All the other glitches I reported previously (in year 2014 I mean XD) seems to be gone now (but didn't checked if there were new ones, I hadn't had time for this now :P).
And thanks for this very convenient solution :)

When you have installed the game, go into your Windows Start Menu, GOG.com, Heroes of Might and Magic 2 Gold, and here you should have a link to "Music Selector" :)
