hello
I gifted Homm3 complete to a friend of mine, and purchased it too (so i'm sure we got smae patched version... already had the whole game thrice but i love it so who cares)
now, we want to play multiplayed games... my friend is behind a firewall router so am i (we have different ISP and modems though)
chance is: my own modem can be configured and i know how to watch/check my modem's public ip (i think my friend wont be able to tune modem on her side or find her public ip, so i guess that would make me better for hosting)
how shall i proceed ? do i need to manually open/allow ports for incoming/listening to client's connection ?
we once managed long ago to play together with armageddon blade version only, but at that time i was using a dialup dsl modem instead of a router one..
thank a lot

Hmm...seems like gameranger worked A-OK the first week I used it for HOMM3, but all of a sudden it refuses to let anyone on my network join another's game. It's strange, as we didn't change any of our settings. I checked the GR forums, and I'm not the only person to have had this problem. No resolution has been posted for the issue as of yet.
Looks like I'll be trying a different program for now.
