Firek: It turns out that the source we had was slightly corrupt, so although there no problems ripping the soundtrack, it had some glitches to begin with. I used track 6 to check for glitches and I actually missed them somehow during the first try, so I'm sure you can understand how we could have missed the glitches back when we tested the game. :) Sorry about that, regardless.

We'll do our best to find the best, most scratch-free copy of HoMM2 and rip you a new one, so to speak. :P
I'm sorry to get back to this post of 3 years ago. But since you were personally involved in this, could you tell why we don't have uncompressed music yet?
We do have uncompressed music. If you want uncompressed music while playing, just do what vv221 said but I think there's no point in doing that because if you don't have a high quality sound reproducer you wouldn't be able to notice the difference between lossless audio and high quality compression audio (and far more difficult if you are not paying full attention, because you will be playing the game). What you can do to have better quality sound without changing any game files is to convert the FLAC files into OGG files with any program so you can choose the quality. Just choose 320rpm (I think is the best quality for OGG) and you will have VERY high quality (take also in account that OGG quality is higher than mp3 at the same rate). It won't be the same as a lossless format like FLAC but trust me you wont notice the change. For sure.

I see your point but imho this still doesn't justify not offering the original build (soundwise)
