Hi everyone,

We have uploaded an update for Heroes of Might and Magic 3 that address a few niggling issues that preventd the game from being shown in all of its glory.

Here's a change log:

-fixed low quality music play back
-fixed castle tower bug
(thanks go out to Onox for pointing these out :D)

-fixed missing CD issue on some systems.

Please let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns :D.

Heroes Chronicles also needs update. Music can be switched to high quality with a hex editor by searching for 22 56 00 00 10 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 in every Chronicles executable and changing it to 44 AC 00 00 10 00 00 00 02 00 00 00.

Unfortunately, the presence of Armorer bug in Heroes Chronicles needs further research.

i installed the update but it said
"This patch does not support your version of the game please download a new installer" ??

(my homm3 installer file is setup_homm3_complete_2.0.0.15.exe)

Can a perfect game get better? Looks like it can :)

Any news if the corrupted sound for portals and Dimension door in Heroes 2 has been fixed yet?
Unfortunately I don't have any saves with it to test, last I played it the screeching sound was still there.

edit: Found a map that has portals, it looks the sound was deleted altogether. It just goes quiet when using portals.

I had this problem too. You have to download the newest installer (setup_homm3_complete_2.0.0.16) and then apply the patch. So it's not really universal patch ;)

Slight update:

I looked through files and I think it's better to leave the patch as it is.
The difference between build 15 and 16 lies in video.vid archive. Including this change in patch would increase its size up to 600 mb. So it's better to download new build anyway.
