It's been some time now; could you release the standalone 2.0.1 installer so that I don't always have to download & install both files on new machines?

Hi, I'm new on this site so I have just one quick question. I read in the reviews that there were some issues with the HOMM3. Before buying I just want to be sure that both HOMM2 gold and HOMM3 complete are working properly in all aspects?
Thank you!
Thank you!

They both work fine. The only thing most small problems are about are sometimes getting 2, to work on non native dos devices like smartphont/tablets.

Thank you!
HoMM II Gold (compared to original CD released 1998) have a known problem with sound playback. Look here for details.

Was this a clean install or did you install 2.0.0.16 over a previous version of HoMM III?

"This patch does not support your version of the game please download a new installer"
What can interfere with its version detection?

Hmmm not sure what's going on, then. Can you send us a support ticket with that error message? Thanks :)

hello, not sure if this topic is still alive..
but the sprites of Wraiths and (specter/ghoul "the un upgraded version") have been reversed, the little sprite image i mean!, when viewed in town as growth rate or the number in a heros army, wraiths (the upgraded and black one) are shown as the unupgraded and brown ones and vise versa.
also not sure if this is a bug, but i think i remember beeing able to buy more than one hero from the tavern per week with "full units" along

I've read that an official patch changed the creature allotment for extra heroes. The first two that display in a week each get the normal allotment, but each hero in a week after those first two only have 1 level 1 creature of the appropriate type. This was to prevent certain kinds of cheese, like repeatedly retreating a Tower hero to amass huge numbers of gremlins in the first week. I'm not sure how surrenders play into this, if the hero isn't re-purchased and winds up rotating back into the hero pool with his/her army.
There were a couple of other modifications to purchased heroes as well, like they don't recover spell points or movement points when they retreat/surrender.
