I've seen screenshots from around the web. Basically instead of shrinking everything, it stretches it and applies a filter, to make it look closer to what the HD remake does (while still not being as good because it isn't redrawn sprites, it's far better than high res and everything tiny).

Anyone have access to a download link of the new version?

I downloaded it because it added a new filtering option that the creators are claiming put the visuals on par with the HD version... which just isn't true. Which is unfortunate. I'd prefer the GoG version for the content, in addition to the mod providing some convenience tweaks (60fps cursor, more UI buttons, those kinds of things), but the game just looks like trash on modern displays when compared to the HD remake.

Oh well.
