Is there any way to get to the "Chest full of Treasure" (see attached picture) in the Lost Canyons? Or is it there just to troll me?

I tried several of these "stairs", but none of them allow me walk on them.

No, it is unreachable, it is just there to tease - all that treasure just out of reach :) There is also a similar unreachable chest in Shadows:HK.

Too bad. But at least I can stop looking for a way to get there now.

anyone know about this game i can only find one walkthrough and its not helpful. i cant get beyond the taymurian wilds. when i try to enter it takes me to the world map and i see the moon wilds on the map but it wont let me toggle to it , whats wrong. i notice this game is full of glitches , just wondering
