I'm wondering does the day counter have any impact on gameplay? Is there a set time? Or is it just some game's internal timer just for general information?

I think somwhere the game mentioned fatigue, and there was also after the tutorial, in the village, the mage/magistrate/whossis arrived back next day, until then was out.
So nothing major, mostly estatic, but still don't get afk for hours.
