I played Hellpoint for a few hours two days ago.
Then yesterday I played again, and this time I used the in-game option to recruit a random person to join my game in multiplayer.
We played for about an hour, then I quit the game.
Now, whenever I try to load my saved gamed after having done that, I cannot, because the in-game "Load" button on the title screen is greyed-out, as if I had never played the game before.
Prior to making this thread, I searched the internet for solutions to this problem. I have already found two supposed "solutions," neither of which work for me.
The first supposed "solution" was to edit out the numbers after the "user" text in my saved game file and replace it with "offline." I did that, but it had no effect on this problem.
The second supposed "solution" was to change the text from "erased:true" to "erased:false." But my saved game text was already set to the latter in the first place, so that didn't do anything to solve my problem either.
So, that's my first problem: I cannot load my saved game any more, because the title screen gives me no option to do so. Can any of you tell me a solution to this problem that will actually work?
The second problem is: Galaxy doesn't offer me any Cloud Save functionality for this game, even though according to the GOG store page, it does have Cloud Saves.
Yet for me, Galaxy lists the game as if Cloud Saves simply don't exist for it, the same as it would for other games that don't have Cloud Saves listed as a feature on their GOG store page.
Do Cloud Saves work for you guys with your GOG versions of Hellpoint, or is that feature missing for you as well?
