I have a Dualshock 4 controller and I found out that the game doesn't natively support it. Using an XInput wrapper or simply starting the game via Steam helps, but it would've been nice if the game had native support for the Dualshock 4 controller (AKA DirectInput devices).

DS4Windows also works, but yeah, native support for Dualshock 4 would be nice.

Since Steam supports DS4 controllers natively I've been staying away from XInput wrappers. To be fair, I think the bigger issue with this game it that it's incapable of dynamically detecting controllers. Even when using an XInput compatible controller if you plug it in when the game is running the game can't see it. The game needs to be restarted completely.
