Does anyone know if it is possible to raise the res above the 1024*768?? I hate it being so "big" though I do enjoy the old classic.
But I want it up to around 1680*1050 if possible. Please help me if you can.

I suspect you there might be some .txt or .ini file in game folder which in you'll be able to find a
config option that can be changed, as long as it's not a single number. If
you can't, you could try faking the extra resolution by enabling
Anti-Aliasing for that program.
You can increase the res via the registry to whatever you'd like; unfortunately the game will stretch with widescreen resolutions, so personally I prefer to stick with a 4:3 ratio and add high AA, especially with so many round objects such as planets and range markers etc.
Here's the link to the instructions, very useful site this, been using it for a long time:

This is not a solution for the GOG.com version of Hegemonia, as the game installs into a different directory and lacks the Registries required to enable Widescreen.
--Nevermind! Found it installs in both directories in the Regedit program. I'm an idiot.

Have a question. Where exactly do you go within the game files to change the resolution and the effects like AA? Since it's in a different path from what the path is in that link above I'm having trouble finding where to exactly go.

I second.
Searched, but did not find. Please tell me wich regestry path I need.
I found "digital realities" in "currunt sodtware" But that doesn't allow me to change res or AA.
Further more, is there a way to run this game windowed? My nVidia card forces everything fullscreen wich results in a hideous stretch....
Thanks

There should be a setting in your nvidia control pannel which says 'Keep aspect ratio' or something like that. You should switch that one on. You get some nasty sidebars then, but it at least doesn't get stretched.

I don't think this works if you have a VGA cord however. I looked it up in the help file and it says to do something that doesn't appear as an option.
Hi there,

it seems I miss something.

Found the reg-key under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Digital Reality\Haegemonia". (Win 7)

My monitor supports a native resolution of 1920*1080.

The max values I tried were 1440 * 1080 (also used 1440 * 1050).. but every time I start the game, without entering the options I am back at 800*600.

Only 1280*960 works from the option menu.

Any hints?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I have the same problem. Also, when I launch the game I have to alt tab to it because it is minimized, but my cursor can only go to a 600x800 area of my screen. I have 2 monitors if that matters.
And, what doesn't make sense, is that if I tell it to do 1920x1080 it does it and it doesn't change the resolution. The problem is everything is oblong, but it is rendering it at 1080p.
