foo_jam2002: i am having a problem in episode 3 - mission 3 named "Kariak Assault".

When i attack the only planet in beta three hovering things destroy all my ships and i am thinking of uninstalling the game. The same happens in gamma. No matter how many ships i send, they get wiped out.

A walkthrough states: "Quickly build the max of military squads, and work on taking back Beta. Emil Kuchera will drop by after a bit. He's not under your control, but he does pretty well by himself. The Kariak have very few ships here, so taking their planets is relatively easy."

I don't know how for others was easy but in my game, it's not. I can't explain why the developers let you progress so far into the game only to make you quit the game, it just doesn't make sense.

hatchlingthing: Hovering thing? The Unknown Base? You can't defeat that base at that point of story, so try to avoid to send fleet near it.
Firts of all: always stick to the task description, on Empire Info panel. You can go around many times and stuck an unwinable position if you dont do just what the task say.
