I just downloaded Ground Control the other night because I had read in some of the other threads that the annoying bug which causes the voice audio to loop during the pre-mission briefings was fixed in the GOG version of the game (I had been playing the freeware version available over at Fileplanet). Well, I'm here to tell ya, it's NOT gone. In fact, it's actually WORSE than in the fileplanet version. And it occurs in both GC and in the expansion.
I've also read in some of the other threads that running the game in Windows 98 compatability mode is supposed to fix this. Now, I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world and for the life of me, I just can't seem to find how to change the compatability mode from XP to 98.
If someone can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys.

Hi,
Right click the game shortcut, click on 'properties', and then switch to the 'compatibility' tab.
You'll find the compatibility modes in there.

Did the Win98 compatibility mode fix the audio looping?
I suppose this audio looping is randomly. I run GC & expansion on Win 7 64b and had that glith only once in one dialog line in one of first Phoenix missions in Dark Conspiracy and that's all. All depend's how often problem occurs and is Win98 compatibility worth running it.
I presume Win XP is more 'sensitive' for this problem and audio looping happens there more often.
