As I wrote in my previous thread, I've beaten the base game's campaign and now I'm in the Dark Conspiracy campaign. I just reached mission 5, the first one where you officially play the Phoenix faction. And as I wrote there: the vehicles have the maneuverability of a pregnant cow. It's so unbearable to me that I'm considering to just abandon the game.

So actually I'm wondering whether it's indeed intentional or I have run into some sort of bug because seriously - the vehicle movement is so terrible that the game is almost unplayable. The vehicles have a decent maximum speed but their acceleration is so atrocious that it takes ages to move them by just a few feet. What's worse, even the pathfinding doesn't work properly due to this. The vehicles have trouble to stay the slightest bit in formation, they often get stuck and even slightly complicated terrain means several minutes for a route that the other factions' vehicles would need like maybe ten or twenty seconds for.

I have trouble believing that this is intentional. Can anybody else comment on this?

Edit: Oh yeah, something else that suggests that something's seriously wrong is the fact that some of my units seem to be nearly (or completely?!) invincible to certain attacks. The Order's powerful drone attacks don's even leave a scratch on my heavy tanks, even the Templars which used to tear every ground vehicle apart don't stand a chance against them. Seriously, something's just wrong.

Edit 2: On top of that the two hoverdynes that need to reach the enemy base to trigger certain events now have gotten stuck two times in a row on the slope leading down to the base (this didn't happen in three earlier attempts). I'm giving up for now unless someone can confirm that all of this is caused by some technical problem that can be fixed somehow. I'm really pissed right now.

I'm at that missions right now (jailbreak), and it's infuriating. The mission stinks. I've failed it twice for no apparent reason at the outpost. Just getting there is a real chore that'll take 10-15 minutes. First time I failed when the truck was 2 feet from my tanks and 10 feet from my truck (i.e. it was NOT getting away from the jamming, indeed it was still inside the base). The second time I took it out, and failed as soon as the vehicles spawned, as he narrator was in the middle of talking.

My tanks seem to be these super strong almost invincible tanks that can take a massive amount of beating from stuff that would have killed them easily in the original campaign. It's weird... I'm about to give up myself, but I'll give it one more shot, but if those hovers will get stuck on the way to the base in the north, I'm done.

*edit: I finally got to the big base, after the vehicles were stuck for 5'ish minutes on that hill. However all the planes decided my APC was a great target, and when trying to move it out, the heavy tanks decided it was worth shooting exclusively. It didn't last long... That's another 30-40 minutes wasted. Goddamn this mission is infuriating, lol.

Well i am actually playing this now as well.
I also find the acceleration really slow and sometimes the units cant follow my order and dont do proper formation.

I also find the new voice actiing kind of amateurish, plus the maps lazizly designed.
All in all, the expansion is not up to the same quality as the original, but it was made by a different company.

The only reason im playing now is to get through the story.
