Hi dear community,
my two friends are using the steam version and I have the gog version.

They easily can join and create muliplayer games (within the steam version). But neighter I can join.. nor they can connect to my created game (loading screen is appearing and abort with "unable to connect").

We all have version 1.1.81 x64--- It may be that they have also the item packs dlcs (I'am only having malmouth, forgoden gods and crucible).

I tried to forward port 27016 without success. UPnP is also activated on the router. The Application grimdawn.exe is also allowed on my firewall.

What am I doing wrong?

Thx for your help.

Loyalist Packs have nothing to do with it. You're not forwarding the right ports.

"Forgotten Gods: Steam/GoG Crossplay

With the release of the Forgotten Gods Expansion (patch v1.1.0.0) Steam/GoG crossplay has been enabled. Servers require additional ports to be forwarded, either by enabling UPnP (automatic) or manually via your router’s port forwarding setup.

When setting up manual port forwarding, the following ports must be forwarded to your servers internal IP address.

42805
42852-42872 (all ports in this range)

If UPnP is enabled in game, these additional ports should be automatically forwarded."

thx for your reply.
If i got it right: If I want to join a grim dawn game (steam version) - then my friends have to open ports.
But they can play together (within steam versions) without opening ports? How it this possbile - ain't they using the same "grimdawn.exe"`?

I confirm this. Before last update 1.1.8.1 multiplayer crossplay work correctly. But after update i can't connect to any server.
I would guess you all need those ports open, but I don't multiplay so can't say for sure.

If you're having problems then post about them here on the forum. Devs won't know about it otherwise.

Ports are opened.
If it was ports problem we could not play before update. But multiplayer worked correctly with 1.8.1.0.
I think that problem with crossplay between GOG and Steam.
