Hi ZombieIX.

Is your OS the 64-bit version of Windows 10? If so, do try to run the 32-bit version of the game.
Here is a link to help you with that.

Hello ZombieIX

(one of these days, you need to tell us about the other VIII)

I have yet to aquire AoM, or FG for that matter but,

the Game itself has always been unkind to my frame. Not so much now as in the past, but still.

Have you Ye Latest Uber-drivers (for all your frame, and thus) on Ye Computer? If so, and you like to Grim your Dawn a lot, did you notice any drop in frame NOW as-to from previous NOW, as is when... hmmm even me got confused there.... Well, have you? Maybe, just maybe I would suggest you look for a PREVIOUS now for Ye Frame, and look-see if that helps. Bullcrap business, I know. But them Frame is IMPORTANT, especially if they make you DIE SEVERAL TIMES!

Don't know your vendor of Frame, so you need to go look-see yourself. I have also heard Tell of a snake in the Web called..... Cobra..? Taipan..? Viper?? that removes Fool's Gold out of Newest New Super-Good Latest! and make instead Cool Running Smooth Working. But that is ALSO on you.

I wish you luck. And CHEERS! from Sweden.

Os4 has left the post, not looking at Mrs Tight-Pants OBVIOUS Paladin once. NOT ONCE! kymon hymen burst and bust... slush and smoulder....
See if anything here helps

It's like a lot of classic 3d games--you get super-high frame-rates facing a wall when nothing is happening--which tend to drop like a stone when you turn and face the movement with npc's and monsters, et al. Really, though, 200 fps when *nothing's happening* on screen, is not really germane to anything, is it?...;) I wouldn't worry about it. I play @ 3840x2160, all eye-candy to the max, and play is always fluid for me--no stuttering--that's fine with me. I only pay attention to frame rates when I get stuttering in a game--which isn't happening for me in this game as of yet.
Thx for the answers and the help tries jeah i tried that too but there is no difference...the extreme drops come only when there is a big group of living mobs(dead ones dont affect anything), i did read somewhere that its because the game has to calculate every path physic an ai and which causes the troubles (especially when only one core is used)....thats why i tried those tips with the cpu cores but at least the core affinity and the options.txt modifications didnt work.....

im just afraid that, if others have constant fps, something is wrong with the comp because it shouldnt happen with that hardware (at least not if all cores are used)

I'm on a cheaper computer so I have to do some tinkering with my settings. I'm running 1600x900, have most settings set to high except for reflections which I turned off and weather turned to medium. I also kill some of the checkbox features like Ambient, Soft Particles, and that Alpha Coverage feature that I never notice. I get smooth 60-75fps for the most part except for when I hit places with large amount of light sources. Any part of a map where a multitude of light sources are present with lighting causes stuttering. I know you're saying you have a decent processor and GPU combo, but I would try adjusting anything dealing with lighting and shading/shadows.

Sorry this isn't an explicit answer, but maybe if it can point you in a better direction it'll help.
