I have a similar problem. It'll download, but the install fails on configuration. Windows 10.
EDIT: when I was unable to install it with GOG galaxy, I downloaded the backup and installed it from that and that fixed. I often find that's the case if I cannot install it from GOG galaxy for whatever reason.
