How do I close this topic?



I fixed the problem with reinstalling vc and the game.

Please don't close it. Some of us need it ^_^

Thought I'd chime in as well. I was having this problem, and wasn't getting anywhere even after reinstalling VC and the game (several times) through Galaxy. What did the trick finally was reinstalling the game from the backup instead of through the Galaxy client.

Confirmed, installing from GOG client gives this error. Using installer downloaded from GOG.com made it work.

What is this, and where can I get it ?

This one is what I installed, my OS already had the 64bit version but not the x86 one installed.

I also did re-install grandia 2 from a clean uninstall just to be safe.

Okay dude, try the 2010, 2012 ones too. Just get all the ones you can from the microsoft download site. It must be one of them!

I'm having the same problem after installing through the GOG Galaxy client.
Is this an issue with other games requiring older versions of Visual C++ installed?

I've noticed a lot of Steam games will install various VC++ Redistributable packages during setup - but I haven't seen it on GOG before (client or standalone installs).

Any word from GOG officially on this?

I tried but it didn't work.. What sould I do? :(

Sorry but all I know is I downloaded those files installed, clean installed the game and it worked, other
than that I cannot help I am afraid :(
