I'm genuinly interested,as even for my first playthrough, I realised I'm better of without healing stuff,as they are too cheap.

Then over some runs I even managed to finish the game without taking a single hit. The fly-monster was a pain to plan around, but that was a point I felt, ye, I'm doing hard mode, and I'm doing it.

Ok, late reply obviously but I only bought this game on the last sale and already finished it. Frankly, I was also a bit surprised people claim this game is hard. I ended up swimming in items and supplies towards the end of the game, having like 15 large medkids, 45 shots for the rifle, 10 rockets, etc. etc. I thought the difficulty might be more like Commandos or HoMM3 which are games on my backlog that I consider hard. Basically, the game just seems to require that you manage to keep an eye on the distance any enemy can move in the next turn, and in what order you stun/burn enemies. That being said, I did really enjoy playing the game nonetheless.
