tarangwydion: Many people actually encounter this bug. I won't complain much, after all I did finish Gorky 17 GOG.com version. I either skipped the intro or replaced the movie file with something else.

It's been going on for years actually:

EDIT: I used Software renderer.
Like I said before, please send emails to Support, along with a DxDiag, about the particular issues with Gorky 17. The more information we have (DxDiags are a big part of that) the higher the chances are that we can work towards a possible solution for this nagging problem. I can't guarantee an immediate fix, but getting support tickets through the official channels helps us keep everything in place.

edit: Please keep in mind that we do not have access to the source code of any our games, thus, it takes a lot more time and resources to fix issues that crop up.
