Just bought the game after watching some let's play videos. I noticed that the GOG version appearently only plays the movies in interlaced mode while those youtube videos I watched plyed them non interlaced. I also tried to play the asf videos found in the folder using my media player and they played non interlaced as well. So the videos - even in the GOG version - are available non interlaced, is there a way to tell the game to play them non interlaced as well?
I've been interested in this question as well. It's not just GOG version, original CD releases has intelaced videos too. Unfortunately there is no simple way to tell game: "don't use intelaced playback". Because it's something in the games engine. ASF files themsеlves are not interlaced. And if you take liberty to upscale those clips from 640x180 to 640x360, cutscenes will be stretched vertically and still interlaced. Some advanced hacking is required.

Thank you. So if the original release was playing the videos interlaced as well, I guess the let's plays I saw simply played the videos outside of the game and just edited their video stream. This makes sense since many versions had problems playing the videos at all.
