What's worse is that I can't even play the base game from here. And even further is that no one from GoG has mentioned anything about any of these reports since JoTL launch which tells me this is by design.

Yes. It requires Galaxy so I refunded JoTL.

I won't be buying/rebuying JoTL or any other game from GoG if Galaxy is now a requirement.

This game is still unplayed for anyone here not using GoG Galaxy which installs all over the system. It's actually worse then Steam. And unless you allow is "full rights / inet access" (never gonna happen) it doesn't work at all. Nor does it funcion with Steam Guard or any other secuirty feature.

Not quite in my case Galaxy must be running in order to play JotL.

This is the same crap as Steam, I buy from GOG because it is not supposed to have that.

Yes installed and running, so it is useless to me and I will need a refund unless they fix it very soon.

And of course the DLC doesn't work at all.

I bought Gloomhaven +DLC last month on Steam, before discovering GOG's existence this week. I've been basically buying backup GOG versions of any of the games I still play because of the big sale making it somewhat affordable to do this. The last one I have sitting on my GOG wishlist is Gloomhaven. I held off initially just because it's still almost full price at the moment, making a second purchase steep, but currently I'm holding now because of this issue. Since the post is a couple weeks old, I'm wondering is this still broken?



EDIT: I went ahead and bought the game to check if the version had been updated, and it has been. At the time of writing I am still downloading and it may be a bit before I can confirm if it works or not, so if anyone else can confirm the issue has been fixed in the mean time, go for it. Both the main game and DLC now show version 1.0.9145.27426

It's fixed. I asked Customer Support and they said they've fixed it so I went and bought the game and it runs without Galaxy.
