So a friend of mine and I are playing this, and we want to do the Co-Op campaign, so we used Hamachi and played a bit...but...we got to a part that was impossible, and I realized "Oh, we need a squad to order around to beat." It's Mission 03 - Stone Bell, and with just the two of us, it's really impossible to do on our own because it's us versus literally 50 infantry and three tanks and we have to keep them from killing the UN Soldiers.

So we went back to fix it so that we have a squad, but the squad enable button is grayed out. Is there no way around this? We even tried starting a new server and start the game over again and it still won't let us play with a squad.

So in general, how do you play the campaign with two player co-op correctly?

From my experience, the missions are possible with two players, but it is impossible to play with AI Squadmates that you can order around. It is harder, certainly, but a proper approach can ensure success.

To succeed at mission three, split up and clear both sides of the hills at once. The guy on the left can sprint almost always to the train and use it as cover, while the other player can use the rocky terrain to his advantage. Then, reconvene and shoot one of the tanks as it's going under the bridge: the other tanks can't get around! (gotta think like a soldier!) Then you can take up defensive positions around the shack the UN guys are using and take out the guys as they pour through the choke point. Finally, remember that some patrols will come walking in from the main force along the sides, so be sure that you can get line of sight to them as well when you take up your defensive positions. It's not easy but it's doable.

However, in my experience, I have found that it's not hard to get other people to be willing to play a few missions at a quick LAN party, especially if they're also GOG fanatics. I've gotten together groups of 3 or 4 and done the missions no problem.

So I am interested in playing this as a LAN game with some friends, I love the game so will happily pay for it. as this is DRM free, after I download it can i simple copy over to a friends machine and play via LAN to persuade him to buy it?
