Hi everyone!

Just a quick post to say that a lot of the issues you guys currently experience with the game are already fixed. But the fact is that the GOG version is lagging behind the Steam version. The reason for this is terribly mundane and it's my fault: my internet connection is very poor and while it takes me 30mn to upload an incremental patch on Steam it takes me almost 3 hours to upload the entire build on GOG's FTP. And after that it takes another few hours (up to a day) for GOG's employees to publish the build.

So I just wanted to let you know that we're aware of this frustrating situation (ie. seeing that bugs are fixed on Steam but not here) and we're working on a way to speed up the GOG publish process on our side, which should hopefully remove the lag between the updates.

So there you go, I know it won't take away the frustration some of you are feeling, but just know we will try and address this as soon as possible!

Seith

Update:
The issue is solved (no, I didn't get a better internet connection!). The GOG and Steam versions will now be on par within 30mn at the most. :)

Thanks for the clarification. It's comforting to know the GOG version isn't being forgotten about.
Thank you for your efforts so far and the honest explanation!

SeithCG:
That's a helpful explanation, thank you!

I could be wrong, but I think there's a faster way to do this if you go to the new DevPortal: https://devportal.gog.com/welcome If I understood correctly, you can upload patches there in a way similar to how it's done on Steam, so without uploading the entire build. This makes the newest build directly available through Galaxy, while the GOG team the files and turns the normal installer. I'm not a developer though, so I can´t check this myself.
SeithCG, thank you for your efforts.
i know that the game is in continue development.
Releasing the 6.29 like a (temporary) complete version it doesn't mean "final" version.

With people playing the game and pointing out the bugs, i'm sure that in a month or two the game will be almost perfect.

A curiosity off topic: the game i think is created in Unity, i'm wright? I've a powerful computer but every time that i'm using a game created in unity my gpu fan go crazy. Unity engine is heavier and less optimized than other engine like Unreal Engine?
(I'm using a nvidia evga 970 gtx with an i7 cpu on a desktop pc).
No problem to play the game, i have perfect performance with Ghost of a Tale at 1680x1050 60 hz (blocked), vsync on, and maximum level of detail, so i'm not complaining. I like the game is amazing.
I understand and I wish to apologize for my behavior at steam (Sorceress). Sorry!
Just wanted to say thank you to the developer for responding and being honest about the cause of the steam/gog discrepancy. I've played about 2 hours (before experiencing the can't load save game bug) and it's a wonderful game. Can't wait for the new version so I can get back to the game!

As long as it comes to GOG, no problem at all. It's only one day of delay we're writing about - and such a delay also means, we here on GOG maybe get several fixes at once, instead of them coming one by one.
So it's not like we don't benefit from the waiting, a bit at least.

Keep up your good work. Thanks for the effort.

Patience is a virtue xD ... for myself I gotta admit: I will always tolerate a certain delay of updates for having a game drm-free. Especially if the game is a gem like this one. #loveonfirstscreenshot

SeithCG: <some really good feed-back>
Good to hear. This is all-round exemplary. Best wishes for your game and your future endeavours.
Thanks for the explanation!
Happy to hear that! I was afraid of another Armello situation, glad that wasn't the case.
