It does matter to announce the Linux versions but getting the announcement (the official announcement sort of like the one you see for the Russian language update announcement) done and ready takes time and I'd rather we get you, the community, the Linux versions first and foremost :)

Also, we do flag the Linux versions and add to the changelog in your account that a Linux version was added :)
