Xozya.173: My concern about that plug-in is that it might be used to steal credentials from Twitch. On the other hand it is open source so I think somebody has already controlled about this hypotethical problem.
"somebody" don't have to do it every hour, you know? even if anyone checks the plugin code now it does not grant safe usage 5 minutes later. just saying it to make it clear that there's no working mechanism to protect your credentials. galaxy created with one big flaw - galaxy automatically updates all plugins on start without you ever knowing what's going on. you're starting to use updated plugins before you can check them so unless "someone" really persistent will sit there and monitor github repo 24/7 you will willingly submit your credentials the same second you load tampered plugin.
if I would be "that other someone" I'd alter github code to load hacked version, let it steal data and then pretend it failed to install correctly and roll previous (clean) version of files. no traces left, no user alerted, data retrieved.
ah, see how bad coding practices can stir an imagination :)
if you have any doubts about security - don't use galaxy 2.0
as simple as that. it does not worth to lose all gaming accounts.
edea.743: But are there any official plans to add Twitch support?
no. they have only xbox one because they partnered with M$. besides that one integration there will be nothing.
