Yesterday, we’ve updated our GOG GALAXY app and implemented the option to change your status to "Invisible". However, this brought unforeseen bugs (e.g. titles seemingly disappearing from your GOG library). While your status is supposed to be invisible, naturally the games shouldn't. That said, it’s not a feature, it’s a bug. Apologies for the inconvenience!
Um, yeah, we noticed.

When can we expect a fix? Or possibly a rollback to a version that was usable until the new update is fixed?

We just fixed the following:

- launching games with multiple commandline arguments, e.g. DOSBox, ScummVM games
- An issue where the games library was empty for accounts with lots of games
- An issue where specific library changes could lead to the games library appearing empty, non-filterable, or some games displayed as “Unknown”

If it doesn't update you can force-update the app by using the installer from gog.com/galaxy.

Let us know if it worked :)

Sadly I still have the issues that the patch was supposed to fix:

- An issue where the games library was empty for accounts with lots of games
- An issue where specific library changes could lead to the games library appearing empty, non-filterable, or some games displayed as “Unknown”

I have 460 games in my library + 117 in subscriptions and I can't see any of them anymore.
I have noticed that it is indeed an issue with having too many of them, when I disconnect my steam library (which is the majority of my library) it does get unstuck and I am able to browse my other games but once Steam gets connected again, it dies. Instead of being invisible, it becomes stuck on whatever it loaded with steam to the tab I was currently looking at (so if I connected Steam while having "Owned games" tab open, it would show all of my owned games in every tab I switch to). After a restart they become invisible again. So in conclusion something must have been broken that make it so the app can't handle too many games anymore and it either gets stuck on whatever it loads or is not able to load them at all.

Yes, I double checked if I am updated to the hotfix version.

Ok update, deleting everything in C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\webcache\common helped, someone suggested it in another post.

Maybe it will be useful for someone in the future so leaving it here :)

What exact problem are you facing?
Do you see 2.0.40 on the bottom of GOG GALAXY settings window?

We really care to know details to confirm if 2.0.40 fixed mentioned problems.

edit: confirmed with Morgolf that (s)he might have been testing on 2.0.39

Sorry to jump in but could you please take a look at the attached screenshots. This issue isn't new and i reported it more than once. This happens to a handful of games mostly after a restart of Galaxy. Also, the activity feed doesn't work at all inside Galaxy for those games but works fine on the web profile. Games where i noticed this are: Mesmer, Overboard! and Against the Storm Demo.

There were some games where this was happening in the past but now it works fine. Those games were: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Neighbours Back From Hell and Rosewater Demo.

Could you please fix this?

Hello, since the update, my Playstation Network integration shows as "offline", and the retry button doesn't work.

I also have had bug for about a year : the friends list shows empty at startup. If I restart the client it shows my friends and what they are playing but it doesn't update in real time and I have to restart the app to update.
You probably already know about this but since you seem to be reading this topic.

Also I realy like the app and being able to have all my launchers in one place, thanks :)

2.0.40.1
In my case the laptop has Galaxy 2 installed to the D drive and running at admin compatibly which your update script couldn't handle so I downloaded \ installed manually

The Steam plugin is still busted {needs resigning in each other boot} but I confirm library sync and download limits are now correctly tracking so progress has been made

Did you try to delete the Steam plugin files from the following folders?

%programdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage\plugins\
%localappdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed\

After that you'll have to download the plugin and connect it one more time, but this helped me in the past with a similar problem.

I could see that working if you put \ saved the wrong password or tried to link more than one account but its not going to affect this issue no

Have you temporarily turned off automatic updates until you fix the problem?

I'm waiting for an update from yesterday, but nothing happens.

I still have 2.0.37 BETA.

I'm guessing they did, I still haven't received the update or any notice of the update.

I also had problems with automatic update unfortunately. I'd suggest to manually install it. Just download the executable from this page and run it: https://www.gog.com/galaxy. It'll reinstall the client in the newest version without deleting your data.

The update still not fixed Galaxy for me. The only difference is that the "import" process after every launch takes much longer. Still lots of "Unknown games" in my list :(

Edit: Okay, it seems to load, but takes minutes to do so. Maybe it would be good to rely on cached information first, then to "reload" information second?
