I cannot find where the Forums are.
Why remove the ability to access it through the launcher?

its clunky, but you can get to the forums from the launcher
you gotta do this: game you like > got to the storepage > go to the forums
easy as that, but id wish it had a "go to forums" button on the game page

In Previous versions of Galaxy 2.0 you could do what you said to go to the forums, and then bookmark the page, that way It should be shown as a shortcut in the left bar of the launcher for later uses. But apparently the behivour is changed and It does not work well or not at all.
Me, at least have the forums bookmarked in that way, heritaged from a previous version bookmark, I guess, and is what I use to enter. But my bookmark can not be deleted or moved, only renamed. so, yes, the feature has changed in any way.
All of this said, It can be worth the try for you.

That topic has information about how to revert. There are a lot of problems with the 2.0 beta, not the least of which is the fact that it IS a beta, but is being forced on users who have explicitly opted out of beta testing. It's still better than Steam, but since Steam is literally a direct health hazard, that's not exactly the kind of comparison you want people to be making even if you "win" the comparison.

I just made a bookmark under "Store" pointing to the forum. Works fine.
There still needs to be a visible button or link in the software. Not sure why there isn't.

That is where my bookmark is added. But if I am not wrong in previous versions I could delete it and recreate it again, and now it does not let me do it. It just surprises me, but it works.

I tried making a bookmark for the forums. I can get to them through the store browser, but when I click the bookmark option nothing happens. I can make bookmarks for individual store pages, specific searches, etc. But when I try to bookmark a forum page the bookmark icon fills as if it created a bookmark, but nothing appears on the left bar of Galaxy.

From the changelog for the last update of Galaxy the second fix was:
-Partially fixed issue about bookmarks not appearing in certain scenarios.
I guess that is the reason why it works depending the computer. Aparently not fully fixed. In case it's the issue they are refering at.
